Mike has the ability to simplify the complexities of the mental and physical aspects of the game so students can quickly grasp the concepts and apply them with success.
Mike has over 30 years of playing and coaching experience, specializing in both the physical and mental aspects of all parts of the game.
Mike has studied and learned from some of the brightest and most respected professional instructors in the country covering all facets of the game including pitching, fielding, hitting, base running, video analysis, and the all important MENTAL GAME of BASEBALL.
Mike is a lifelong baseball student reading his first book on hitting, Ted William's " THE SCIENCE OF HITTING," in 1978 as a 7th grader and is strongly committed to continuous education covering all aspects of the game for the benefit of his students.
Mike is known to spend at least one hour of continuous education study for every hour of student instruction provided.
Mike is also the OFFICIAL BASEBALL INSTRUCTOR for the TROTTER FAMILY YMCA located in the GALLERIA area of Houston.
Mike is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has been a Houston, TX resident since 1996. Mike has been married to wife Allison for eight years and they have twin boys Paul and Alexander, 4 years of age.
